| After years of suffering from 'social anxiety disorder' I finally got the courage to let it go. I used the apostrophes to emphasize my feelings that its just another affliction given a name by psychologists and drug companies so that they may still have jobs. The truth, however much we don't want to accept it, it that there is no cure except exploding out of our comfort zones and, when you inevitably find that there is no fiery hail of ridicule and humiliation, you will look back on your shelter/prison and wonder what the hell the problem ever was. |
